Hello! Welcome to the home page of Cary James Felbab. That's me in the picture. I live in Lakeville, a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. In April of 2005 I was blessed with a wonderful new wife and soulmate for life named Susan (or as I like to call her "Susie"). I am also the proud father of two children from my first wife Tammy: a daughter named Cassandra Lee Felbab and son Logan James Felbab. With my marriage to Sue, I gained three step children, Alex Bakken, Elizabeth Bakken and Sam Bakken. Along with all these wonderful children, I have a pet dog named Spunky.

I graduated college in 1989 from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. It's a great school and I highly recommend it. I am currently working for Thomson West, the largest provider of legal information in the United States. There I lead a large group of technologists in the creation of the world's largest Internet based legal research product, westlaw.com . If you'd like, you may check out my resume. Go ahead, make me an offer I can't refuse!

On this page I have gathered a collection of my favorite sites on the Web. This list continues to evolve over time as I discover new and cool uses of the Internet.

Personal Resources

The Web is an ideal place to express yourself. Presented below is a collection of links that say a bit about me, my family and my friends.

News Resources

Cyberspace is THE place to be for the latest news and information. Here in the digital domain the free flow of information is the prime directive and the allure of its potential. To stay connected, to stay on top of things, here are the sites I click to.

Weather Resources

Living in a place like Minnesota you can usually sum the weather up in one word, cold! But being that we live in an information society, one word simply does not cut it. What with the largest computer network in the history of the planet at your fingertips, one ought to be able to get a decent weather forecast.

Computing Resources

Okay, I'll admit it, I am a wire head! Maybe not a complete propeller head, I mean do have a life, a wife, a family, wild tales of youthful adventure and all that. Enough of that ... here are a few of my favorite computing resources.

Financial Resources

Money may not be everything, it may not buy happiness; but's let's face it money comes in pretty high on the list of things that we'd all miss if we didn't have it. As you would expect, the Internet has a lot to offer the investor and billionaire-in-training.

Entertainment Resources

  • Digital Bits - excellent online source of DVD related information & rumors.
  • Dilbert Zone - the sage of modern business practices, the everyday hero of cyberspace.
  • PSOnline - the premiere source for Sony Playstation2 news and information.

Retail Resources

Electronic commerce has pretty much established itself as the way to stop. Here is a marketplace without parking hassles, rude pushy salespeople, lines at the checkout and the other familar landscapes of the old brick and mortar world. Here are some of my favorite on-line storefronts.

Local Resources

Lakeville offers a vibrant collection of amenities and activities to ensure that our family has the richest possible life experiences. Collected here are links to the essentials.

Other Resources

Being something of an egghead as my wife would say, I've gathered here a collection of totally cool sites devoted to esoteric topics like the pursuit of the top quark and just to prove that I do have some culture and innate coolness resources for tracking down the perfect wine to romance a woman.
